It was a bright, peaceful morning in the little family’s backyard. The sun peeked through the trees, casting golden light over the grass where baby monkey Lolo and his dad were playing. Lolo, always full of energy and funny ideas, was in one of his most playful moods. His tiny face was glowing with mischief, and his tail swayed like a little flag in the breeze.
Dad sat nearby, watching with amusement as Lolo tried to copy his movements. Suddenly, Lolo lifted both of his tiny arms up high, stretching his body in a wide curve like a rainbow. His little fingers spread out, his belly sticking forward, and his tail arched behind him — he looked so proud of his new “gesture.”
Dad burst out laughing. “What are you doing, my silly boy?” he asked, his voice full of love. But Lolo wasn’t done yet. He began swaying from side to side, keeping his arms high like a colorful rainbow dance. His eyes sparkled with joy as he looked at Dad, clearly expecting praise.
Seeing his baby’s excitement, Dad joined in the fun, mimicking the same motion. Soon both of them were moving together — one big monkey and one tiny one — making matching rainbow shapes under the sun. Lolo squeaked happily, clapping his hands, proud that Dad was following his lead.
For a few precious minutes, the backyard was filled with laughter and warmth. Every time Lolo struck his rainbow pose, Dad cheered and clapped, saying, “That’s my boy! The brightest rainbow in the world!” Lolo jumped into his dad’s arms, wrapping his tiny hands around his neck, giggling nonstop.
After so much fun, the little one rested his head on Dad’s shoulder, breathing softly, still smiling in his sleepiness. Dad patted his back gently, whispering, “You’re my little sunshine, Lolo.”
That small rainbow gesture became something special — a symbol of their bond, full of love, joy, and endless laughter.
Because for Dad, no rainbow in the sky could ever compare to the one made by his tiny baby monkey’s happy little heart.
