Early in the morning, the sun had just peeked through the window when Daddy prepared Bunny’s warm bath. The little tub was filled perfectly — not too hot, not too cold — just right for her tiny body. But the moment Bunny saw the water, her face changed. Her little eyes widened, and within seconds, she began to cry loudly, her voice echoing through the room.
“Come on, sweetheart,” Daddy said softly, trying to calm her. But Bunny was terrified. She clung to the edge of the tube, her tiny hands trembling, refusing to go in. Every time Daddy tried to lower her into the water, she let out a heartbreaking scream, twisting her body and shaking her head as if begging, “No, please, not now.”
The sound of her cries was enough to melt anyone’s heart. Daddy sighed and stopped for a moment, realizing that maybe this morning bath wasn’t what she needed — maybe she just needed comfort first. He lifted her out of the tub and wrapped her in a soft towel, holding her close.
As soon as she felt his arms around her, Bunny’s cries slowly softened. Her breathing steadied, her trembling stopped. She looked up at him with wet eyelashes, still sniffling but calm now. Daddy gently kissed her tiny forehead. “It’s okay, my little one,” he whispered.
The bath could wait — love always comes first. Bunny rested her head against his chest, feeling safe again, her earlier fear replaced by warmth and peace. For Daddy, that moment was everything — proof that sometimes the best way to clean a baby’s heart is with love, not water.
