Moody Jasmine Longs for a Cuddle

Baby monkey Jasmine was having one of those days. Nothing seemed right—her toys didn’t interest her, the food felt boring, and even the gentle sunshine streaming through the trees annoyed her. She sat with a pout, her little arms crossed, her eyes downcast. The world, in her tiny heart, just felt heavy.

Her mother noticed the sulky look on her face. Jasmine’s ears drooped, and every now and then she let out a soft whimper, as if saying, “I don’t feel happy today.” No amount of play could lift her mood. She turned her head away from fruits, ignored her siblings’ games, and curled into a lonely ball.

But what Jasmine truly needed wasn’t food or fun. Deep down, she longed for the warmth of her mother’s embrace. Her small chest rose and fell with sighs until finally, unable to hold back, she reached out her tiny hands toward her mom.

Understanding immediately, her mother leaned down, gathering Jasmine into her arms. The moment their bodies touched, Jasmine melted against her chest. Her frown softened, her breathing slowed, and her little fingers clung tightly to her mother’s fur. The sadness began to fade, replaced by the comfort of safety and love.

For a while, Jasmine didn’t need to do anything but cuddle. No games, no food—just her mother’s heartbeat and warmth were enough to heal her mood. Wrapped in that embrace, her world felt gentle again.

Sometimes, even the moodiest little ones need nothing more than a hug to remind them that they are deeply loved. 💕
