Little Mato, the tiniest of all the baby monkeys, looked pitiful yet so precious after his morning bath. His fur was still slightly damp, soft, and fluffy as he lay curled on a clean towel that Mom had carefully spread out for him. Being the smallest, Mato often appeared fragile, his little eyes half-closed with sleepiness. But today, after the warm bath, he was especially drowsy and weak.
As he tried to settle down for a nap, his tiny fingers began scratching lightly at his fur. The bath had cleaned him thoroughly, but the fresh feeling of his coat made him feel a little itchy. With his small, delicate hands, he scratched at his sides and neck, wriggling on the towel in a slow, sleepy motion. His tiny movements were so soft and innocent, showing how helpless he still was.
Mom watched closely, worried yet smiling at her baby’s little gestures. She gently rubbed his back, helping to calm the itching and making sure no irritation remained on his skin. Mato responded by letting out a soft sigh and pressing his face into the towel, his eyes closing fully now. His fragile body seemed to melt into the fabric, finding comfort in the warmth.
Though his scratching looked pitiful, it was also a reminder of how sensitive and delicate newborn monkeys can be. Every little sensation was new to him, and every touch of comfort from Mom was essential. Slowly, Mato drifted into sleep, his tiny chest rising and falling with each soft breath.
On the towel, surrounded by love and care, the smallest baby monkey finally found peace. His fragile frame may have looked weak, but with Mom’s gentle protection, Mato was safe, warm, and deeply cherished.
