Little Maly was usually a cheerful baby monkey—clumsy, cuddly, and full of life. He loved riding on his mom’s back, snuggling under her arms, and being carried everywhere like a precious treasure.
But today, something went wrong.
In a rushed moment while balancing too many things, Mom accidentally let go.
Maly slipped from her grip and landed on the ground with a soft but shocking thud.
It didn’t hurt much—but to Maly, it felt like the sky had fallen.
He froze for a second…
Then his face twisted into heartbreak.
And then came the cry—a deep, shaking scream that echoed across the yard.
“EEEEEEEEEHHH!!!”
He sat on the dusty ground, arms raised, body trembling, tears pouring down his face. He wasn’t just scared.
He was angry. Hurt. Confused.
Why did Mom drop him? Didn’t she care?
Mom turned instantly, eyes wide with worry. She rushed to scoop him up, gently brushing off the dirt, whispering apologies into his fur.
“Oh baby… I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to…”
But Maly squirmed and cried louder, trying to push her away with his tiny hands. He couldn’t understand accidents. He only knew his heart was broken in that moment.
Mom sat down and hugged him tighter, letting him cry it all out. Slowly, his sobs became whimpers… then sighs… until finally he clung to her again, face buried in her chest.
He forgave her.
He always would.
Because deep down, Maly knew—Mom loved him more than anything.
Even when she made mistakes.
