Baby Ricky had just come out of his morning bath, squeaky clean and wrapped in a soft towel. Normally, bath time made him feel fresh and playful, but today was different. His tiny body was covered with a mild rash, and the itchiness made him squirm and fuss. Worst of all—his tummy was growling!
Mommy gently laid him on the mat and began to apply coconut oil to soothe his irritated skin. But Ricky was not having it.
He kicked.
He twisted.
He cried out loud, slapping the towel away.
“Eeee! Eeee!” his little voice rang through the house, filled with frustration. He wasn’t just upset about the rash—he was starving. Mommy usually gave him milk right after his bath, but today she was taking her time rubbing oil and whispering sweet nothings.
To Ricky, it felt like forever.
The moment mommy moved to grab the bottle of oil again, Ricky let out a dramatic scream and rolled onto his side, giving her his angriest monkey face. He even tried to crawl away, looking back as if to say, “I want milk, not lotion!”
Mom chuckled, kissed his tiny forehead, and gently held him still.
“Just one more minute, baby,” she whispered. But Ricky was already pouting, arms crossed in tiny frustration.
Finally, once the oil was applied and his rash looked better, she picked him up and offered the milk bottle. Ricky snatched it with both hands and hugged it like a treasure, drinking fast with soft gulps.
As the warm milk filled his tummy, his anger slowly melted away. His tail curled up gently, and his eyelids drooped with peace.
Even the angriest little monkey just needs love, comfort—and a full belly
