Little Luna had always been the drama queen of the group—emotional, loud, and full of personality. But today, her emotions got the best of her.
It started when mommy walked away for just a moment to check on the others. Luna, already in a sensitive mood, didn’t want to be left alone—not even for a second. She started crying softly, then louder, until her little voice filled the entire room. She reached her arms out, kicking her feet, demanding attention.
But mommy didn’t return right away.
That’s when Luna’s cries turned into a full tantrum. She threw herself backward in frustration without looking where she was. Thud! Her tiny head hit the edge of the low table behind her. The room went silent for a split second. Then came a scream so sharp, so filled with pain and surprise, it made the caregiver drop everything and rush over.
Luna was lying on the ground, both shocked and hurt. She wasn’t seriously injured, but the pain of the bump and the fear in her heart made it feel ten times worse. She reached up with tiny arms, sobbing as she was picked up and comforted.
“Shhh, baby, it’s okay. I’ve got you,” whispered the caregiver, gently checking her head and rocking her.
Luna’s sobs slowly softened, but her big eyes were still filled with tears. Her mommy finally returned, hugging her close and grooming her little fur gently.
Even for a tiny monkey like Luna, emotions can feel like a storm. But she learned that even when she falls, there’s always someone there to pick her back up—because she is deeply loved.
