The soft cry of a newborn monkey echoed through the early morning air. He was tiny, fragile, and trembling—curled up alone in a pile of dry leaves where his mother had left him just hours after birth. No one knew why she had rejected him, but the heartbreaking reality was clear: this baby was now an orphan.
Luckily, a kind-hearted rescuer found him just in time.
With careful hands, the man wrapped the tiny monkey in a warm towel. His eyes were still closed, his breath weak but steady. The rescuer could feel how hungry he was—his belly completely empty. He rushed him to a safe place, gently preparing a warm bottle of milk.
At first, the baby didn’t know how to drink. He whimpered softly, his head turning in confusion. But the rescuer was patient, holding the bottle to his lips and rubbing the back of his head gently. Slowly, the baby monkey began to latch on.
Tiny gulps followed.
It was a moment of hope—his first proper nourishment since birth. His hands clutched the man’s finger tightly, and his little tail twitched with each suck of milk. A soft hum came from his throat. He was still weak, but already stronger than before.
After the feeding, the rescuer held him close to his chest, letting the warmth of his heartbeat calm the baby. Wrapped in a soft blanket, the newborn finally closed his eyes and fell asleep, safe for the first time.
Though his mother had abandoned him, this little monkey now had someone who cared.
His fight for life had just begun—but he was no longer alone.
