Lito’s Dragon Fruit Tantrum

Comments Off on Lito’s Dragon Fruit Tantrum

Little Monkey Lito usually loves snack time—but today, he had other ideas.

As soon as the fresh slice of bright pink dragon fruit hit his bowl, everyone expected him to clap, chirp, and rush over like he always did. But not today. Lito took one glance, made a dramatic pout, and threw himself on the floor with a loud squeal.

He kicked his legs, rolled onto his back, then peeked from the corner of his eye to see if anyone was watching. Of course, everyone was.

The caregiver tried to coax him gently, holding out the juicy fruit again, but Lito smacked it away with his tiny hand. “No!” his face screamed. He wasn’t in the mood—not for fruit, not for hugs, not even for games.

Other monkeys looked on in confusion. Was Lito sick? No—he was just moody. And like any toddler, he knew how to make it everyone’s problem.

A few minutes passed. Lito sat in the corner, arms folded, refusing to look at anyone. But as the scent of the sweet dragon fruit drifted over to him again, his nose twitched. He peeked at the bowl. Then looked away. Then back again.

Eventually, he shuffled over, snatched a bite, and nibbled it angrily—still pouting. But the taste won him over. Within seconds, the little drama king was quietly munching and licking his fingers, pretending the tantrum had never happened.

Everyone laughed softly. That was Lito—sweet, dramatic, and always full of surprises.

Tomorrow, he’d probably be begging for dragon fruit again.
