This morning was supposed to be a fun one for little Santa. The sun was gentle, the air fresh, and Dad thought it would be a great time to help her practice walking again. But baby Santa had other plans.
From the moment her feet touched the floor, she froze like a statue. Her legs refused to move, and her tiny hands clung tightly to the blanket beneath her. As Dad gently encouraged her to take a step, she let out a long, heartbreaking cry that echoed through the quiet room.
She wasn’t in pain—just overwhelmed, unsure, and a little too attached to her cozy spot. Her eyes darted around, looking for something familiar, and when she couldn’t find it, she cried even louder. Dad tried toys, hugs, and even her favorite milk bottle, but Santa wasn’t having it. All she wanted was to sit still, snuggled where she felt safest.
It’s not unusual for baby monkeys like Santa to have these emotional moments. Sometimes the world feels too big, and all they need is patience and reassurance. Dad finally sat beside her, speaking softly and stroking her back. Bit by bit, her cries slowed. She leaned into him, calmed by his warmth.
Though she didn’t take a single step that morning, something beautiful still happened: trust was built. Baby Santa may not be ready to walk yet, but with love and time, she’ll get there.
For now, it’s okay to just sit, cry, and be held. Because even the strongest walkers start with tears and tiny steps that take time. 💕🐒
