
Little Lina, the baby monkey, sat on the soft cushion chair in the corner of the living room. Her round eyes scanned the room, wide and nervous. Just seconds ago, her mom had been right beside her, playing with her tiny fingers and cuddling her gently.
But now… Mom had disappeared.
What Lina didn’t realize was that Mom had only gone to the kitchen—to get her warm milk bottle.
Still, to the little baby, it felt like abandonment.
Suddenly, her lips curled downward, and her breath hitched. “Eee-Eeee-Aaaaah!” she cried out in panic, voice echoing through the house.
She stood up shakily on the chair, arms outstretched, as if calling, “Come back, Mommy!”
Her tail wiggled, and her little feet stomped on the cushion. Her sobs grew louder. She was crying her heart out, not understanding where her comfort had gone.
In the kitchen, Mom quickly poured the milk, hearing Lina’s heartbreaking screams.
“I’m coming, baby!” she called out gently.
But Lina couldn’t wait. She dropped down to the floor and waddled toward the kitchen, tears still running down her furry cheeks.
Right at the kitchen doorway, they met—Mom with the bottle in hand and Lina with a trembling chin.
As soon as she saw her, Lina leaped into Mom’s arms, wrapping herself tightly and letting out soft hiccup-cries.
“There, there, my sweet girl,” Mom whispered, gently placing the bottle to her lips.
Lina drank while still sniffing, finally calming down in the arms she loved most.
Even just a moment away from Mom was too much for this little heart
