He was just a newborn—tiny, helpless, and brand new to the world. But instead of warmth and safety, his first moments were filled with pain.
The baby monkey, later named Hope, was found lying alone near a fence, his body covered in small wounds and scratches, some still bleeding, some already scabbed over. His fur was patchy, his tail limp, and his cries were faint—but full of fear.
No one knew exactly what had happened. Maybe he had fallen. Maybe other animals had hurt him. Or maybe he had been separated from his mother too soon and tried to survive on his own.

Hope didn’t drink much at first. He was too exhausted. But he held onto the caregiver’s finger with his tiny hand—a sign that he wanted to keep fighting.
Over the next few days, Hope’s cries grew stronger. His wounds slowly began to heal, and his eyes opened wider with curiosity.
Though his body had been bruised, his spirit refused to break.
