Baby monkey Pow is always full of wild ideas and silly adventures. Today, he discovered something new in the yard—a big, empty bucket. To Pow, it wasn’t just a bucket… it was a jungle cave, a rocket ship, maybe even a secret hideout!
With a happy squeal, Pow climbed inside. He rolled around, flipped over, and made monkey noises like he was on a big mission. The bucket wobbled, tipped, and even spun—but Pow was having the time of his life.
Until it was time to leave…
Pow tried to climb out—but oops!—the bucket was slippery! His tiny feet slid, and his little hands couldn’t find a grip. He tried again and again, but every time, he slipped right back down to the bottom.
Now the fun was over, and Pow’s eyes grew wide with worry. He looked around, let out a panicked chirp, and began calling for help. “Eee-eee! Mom! Help me!”
Mom heard him right away. She rushed over and peeked inside the bucket. There was her silly baby, sitting at the bottom with a guilty little face and messy fur.
She couldn’t help but laugh.
Gently, she reached in and lifted Pow out, cradling him in her arms. Pow clung to her tightly, still shaken but safe.
“No more rocket rides today, little explorer,” she whispered with a smile.
Pow snuggled close, relieved and tired. He had learned a big lesson: sometimes, even the bravest monkeys need help getting out of sticky (or bucket-y) situations. 🐒🪣💛
