It was bath time, and baby monkey Bella knew it. The sound of running water, the fruity scent of soap, and the sight of her tiny towel all meant one thing: her favorite time of day was about to begin!
But there was a problem… Mom was taking too long!
Bella sat on the floor with her arms crossed, eyes wide and alert, staring at the bathroom. Her tiny tail flicked with impatience. She wasn’t sleepy at all—in fact, she was wide awake and ready to splash!
She scooted closer to the door, then flopped dramatically onto the floor, stretching out and letting out a loud sigh, as if to say, “Hurry up, Mom!”
Every time someone walked past, Bella perked up, thinking it was finally her turn. But no. Still waiting.
She rolled over. Sat up. Rolled again. Then crawled to peek inside—still not ready!
“Bella, just a minute,” Mom called with a smile. “The water’s still warming up!”
But Bella didn’t care about warm water. She wanted bubbles, splashes, and all the fun—right now!
Finally, the door opened. Mom smiled. “Okay, Miss Impatient, bath time!”
Bella leapt up and ran in, making a happy chirping sound. Within seconds, she was in the tub, splashing and playing like she’d been waiting a lifetime.
Because when you’re a baby monkey like Bella, waiting even five minutes feels like forever!
