Junila’s Cry: Bitten by Mom While Drinking Milk

Little baby monkey Junila only wanted a peaceful moment with her mom. Hungry and tired, she nestled close to Mama Jade, reaching instinctively for milk—the comfort she always counted on.

But today was different.

As Junila began to nurse, Mama Jade suddenly tensed. Whether out of stress, irritation, or confusion, she snapped—and in a flash, she bit Junila sharply on the side.

A piercing scream rang out.
Junila let go immediately, falling backward in shock and pain. Her tiny face twisted, not just from the sting—but from the heartbreak. Her protector, her source of love, had just hurt her.

She didn’t understand why.

She sat frozen for a moment, then burst into desperate sobs, clutching her side and looking up at Jade with wide, wet eyes. But Mama Jade didn’t return a comforting glance. She simply walked away, leaving Junila alone with her wound—and her confusion.

The caregivers nearby rushed in. One lifted the crying baby gently, checking the bite mark. It was red, sore, but not deep. Still, the emotional wound ran much deeper. Junila clung tightly to the caregiver’s shirt, burying her face and trembling with soft whimpers.

As she was rocked gently and given a small bottle of warm milk, her breathing slowed. Her sobs faded—but her eyes stayed sad.
