Today was a big day for baby monkey Lion. With soft morning sunlight spilling across the open field, Daddy gently placed him down on the grass. “Come on, little one,” he seemed to say, stepping back with encouragement in his eyes. “Let’s learn something new today.”
Lion wobbled a bit, his tiny feet unsure on the uneven ground. The grass tickled his toes, and a breeze ruffled his baby fur. At first, he crouched low, hesitating—then took one shaky step forward. And another.
“Eeeh!” he chirped in surprise. He was walking!
Daddy clapped his hands together and gave a proud little hoot, instantly rushing in to steady Lion when he stumbled. With big hands and a soft heart, Daddy kept encouraging him—nudging him up every time he fell, guiding him through little obstacles like a fallen twig or a patch of soft dirt.
Lion giggled, his confidence growing. Soon he was trying to hop, run, and even chase after a leaf blowing across the field. His legs were still wobbly, but his smile was big, and Daddy never strayed far.
By the time the sun started to dip low, Lion was tired but glowing with joy. He curled up against Daddy’s chest, eyes fluttering shut, safe and warm after a day of big steps—both literal and emotional.
