Little Timo was a baby full of love—he just didn’t understand why Malika, his mother, never seemed to return it.
He would reach for her, tiny arms open, only to be pushed aside or ignored. While other baby monkeys snuggled close to their moms, Timo often sat alone in a corner, watching with sad, wide eyes.
Malika had grown cold. No one knew why. Maybe stress, fear, or her past made her act distant. But to Timo, it felt like rejection. His little heart ached for attention, for a warm hug, for milk from his own mother.
He tried everything—crying, crawling to her, even pulling gently at her fur. But Malika would either walk away or respond with sharp sounds that scared him.
Still, Timo didn’t give up. He stayed nearby, hopeful that one day Malika’s heart would soften.
One day, a caretaker noticed Timo lying quietly under a leaf, not even crying anymore. She gently picked him up, looked into his eyes, and saw all the emotion he couldn’t say.
She wrapped him in a towel, fed him a bottle, and rocked him slowly. Timo clung to her finger, the first warmth he’d felt in days.
Sometimes, a mother may not know how to love.
But love always finds its way.
And now, with each passing day, Timo’s spirit brightened—not because Malika changed, but because someone else chose to care.
