Sweet little Lolo had been cuddled in loving arms all morning. He was calm, peaceful, and felt like the happiest baby monkey in the world.
But everything changed in one second.
His caregiver gently lowered him onto the soft, cozy mat so she could grab a bottle and clean up nearby. But to Lolo—it felt like betrayal.
His eyes widened.
His little hands reached up in protest.
And then…
“REEEEE!!”
A furious, heartbroken cry exploded from his tiny mouth. His face turned red with frustration, and his arms slapped the floor in protest.
Lolo wasn’t just crying—he was angry.
How dare they put him down when he was perfectly happy in warm arms?
He rolled onto his side, then onto his back, flailing and kicking like a storm. His tail flicked wildly. He screamed louder, hoping someone—anyone—would understand his pain.
Other monkeys peeked over curiously. One gave a quiet squeak, unsure if Lolo was hurt or just throwing the world’s biggest tantrum.
Within seconds, his caregiver rushed back, surprised by the drama.
“Oh no, Lolo! I was just gone for a second!” she said, scooping him up into her arms again.
Instantly, the storm stopped.
Lolo sniffled, wiped his teary eyes on her shirt, and let out a soft hiccup. He buried his face in her neck, holding on tightly like he never wanted to let go again.
His message was clear:
“I don’t care about the floor. I just want you.“
And from that moment on, his caregiver made a silent promise: never too far, never too long.
Because some baby monkeys don’t just need food and toys—
They need love, closeness, and a warm place to call home.
