In the cozy corner of the playroom, little Minea and Mako were having their usual playful time — until things turned a bit too wild. Mako had grabbed a toy Minea claimed as hers, and before anyone could intervene, Minea gave him a swift little bite on the arm and a sneaky push!
Mako let out a dramatic squeal and dropped the toy, tears welling up in his big baby eyes. Mom rushed over immediately, but by the time she arrived, Minea had already transformed her face into the picture of pure innocence. Her eyes wide, her hands folded sweetly on her lap — it was as if nothing had ever happened!
Mom looked between the two — Mako sniffling and holding his arm, and Minea sitting like an angel. “Minea, what happened?” Mom asked.
Minea blinked slowly and shrugged, as if she was just as confused. But little traces of mischief lingered in her expression — the slight curl of her lip, and the fact she wasn’t meeting Mom’s eyes.
Meanwhile, Mako kept pointing at Minea, babbling his complaints. Mom, of course, knew the truth. This wasn’t the first time Minea had pulled her pretend-innocent act.
Gently, Mom picked up Mako to comfort him, then looked at Minea and said, “Even sweet faces don’t hide naughty actions.” Minea’s cheeks puffed out in frustration, knowing she had been caught.
But instead of scolding, Mom reminded her kindly to say sorry. Reluctantly, Minea shuffled over and gave Mako a small pat and a quick hug — a silent apology only baby monkeys understand.
Mom smiled softly. In a world of tiny battles and dramatic performances, it’s these sweet moments of learning and growing that shine brightest.
