In a quiet corner of the house, a poor baby monkey was having the worst moment of his little day. His mom, busy and rushing around to finish her chores, had gently placed him on a soft chair while she swept the floor. But the baby didn’t understand—he thought he was being left behind.

The moment his tiny bottom hit the chair, his eyes widened with shock. He let out a loud, sharp cry, arms flailing in frustration. “Eee-eee!” he screamed, clearly offended. His face turned red, his mouth pouted, and tiny fists began thumping the seat beneath him.

To him, being placed on that chair felt like betrayal. He thought Mom was mad at him or didn’t want to hold him anymore. His dramatic little tantrum filled the house, making it impossible for Mom to ignore. She turned around quickly, surprised to see him so upset.

But even when she rushed over to scoop him back into her arms, he wasn’t done being mad just yet. He turned his head away, huffed, and let out a few more protest cries to make sure she knew how offended he was. It wasn’t until she gently kissed his forehead and rocked him side to side that he finally began to calm down.

Wrapped again in his mom’s arms, the baby monkey blinked slowly, his anger fading into comfort. But in his little heart, he made a mental note: Next time, no chair.
