The tiny baby monkey sat on a rock, her big round eyes filled with frustration. Her little tummy rumbled loudly—she was hungry, and she wanted her milk right now! But her mother was busy, and instead of feeding her immediately, Mom had told her to wait.
At first, the baby monkey whimpered softly, hoping her cries would make her mother hurry. But when Mom didn’t come over, her patience snapped.
“Eeeeh! EEEEEH!” she screamed, throwing her tiny arms up in anger. Her face scrunched up as tears rolled down her cheeks, her cries echoing through the trees. She stomped her little feet and even tried to roll on the ground, demanding attention.
Mom turned to look at her but didn’t rush. Instead, she calmly continued what she was doing, ignoring the tantrum. This made the baby even angrier.
She grabbed a nearby leaf and tossed it to the ground dramatically. Then, she let out another loud, frustrated scream. Other monkeys nearby watched curiously, amused by her dramatic reaction.
Finally, after what felt like forever, Mom walked over with the milk. The baby instantly stopped crying and snatched the bottle with both hands, drinking as fast as she could.
Her sniffles faded as the warm milk filled her belly, bringing comfort and peace. Mom gently stroked her tiny head, as if reminding her that she had nothing to worry about.
The tantrum was over—at least until the next time she had to wait.
