The morning sun shone brightly as baby monkey A Tong sat on a warm rock, his fur still damp from his bath. Unlike other baby monkeys who would run off to play after getting cleaned, A Tong had a different priority—himself.
He sat calmly, legs slightly spread, and lowered his gaze toward his tiny belly. His little fingers carefully patted his tummy, then moved downward as he curiously examined his private area.
His eyes squinted as he concentrated, tilting his head left and right, as if trying to figure out if everything was still in place after the bath. The sensation of the cool water still lingered, and he wasn’t sure if he liked it.
Nearby, some of the other baby monkeys noticed his behavior and found it hilarious. JB, the mischievous one, let out a high-pitched giggle and pointed at him.
“Look at A Tong! What’s he doing?” JB teased.
A Tong ignored them. He was on a serious mission. He gently poked, then sat back and folded his arms, deep in thought.
One of the older monkeys, Uncle Mako, walked by and shook his head. “A Tong, stop sitting like an old man and go play!” he laughed.
But A Tong wasn’t done with his investigation. He shifted a little, checked one more time, then finally seemed satisfied. With a tiny nod to himself, he stood up, stretched, and ran off to join the others—completely unbothered by their laughter.
It was just another normal morning for A Tong, the most curious little monkey in the group!
