Baby Alan was feeling adventurous today. He had seen the older monkeys climbing trees with ease, and he wanted to try it too.
With a determined little face, he scurried up the mango tree, his tiny hands gripping the rough bark as he went higher and higher. The excitement filled his chest—he was so proud of himself!
But then… he made a mistake.
Alan looked down.
The moment he saw how high up he was, his heart started pounding fast.
“Oh no… how do I get down?”
Panic set in. His little hands trembled, and his tail twitched nervously.
“MOM!!” he screamed.
Tears filled his eyes as he clung to the branch, his tiny body shaking with fear.
From below, Mom heard his cries. She rushed over, looking up at her poor little baby.
“Alan, sweetie, don’t move! Hold on tight!” she called.
But Alan was already sniffling, his eyes filled with desperation.
He tried to climb down, but his little feet slipped!
“AHHH!” he cried, gripping the branch just in time. His heart was racing.
Mom quickly climbed up, her strong hands reaching for him.
“Come here, baby. I got you!”
With one last sob, Alan leaped into Mom’s arms, hugging her tightly. He buried his face in her chest, his tears soaking her fur.
Mom kissed his tiny head. “You’re safe now, my brave boy.”
Alan sniffled. He had learned an important lesson today—sometimes, climbing up was the easy part.
