Little Jasmine was having a tough day!
Mom had been trying to teach her how to sit like a proper little lady — but Jasmine was not in the mood.
At first, mom gently placed Jasmine on her soft cushion and said, “Sit nicely, Jasmine. Be a good girl.” But instead of listening, Jasmine flopped to the side, her arms crossed, and gave mom a pouty look. Her big round eyes looked up at mom like, “Do I really have to?”
Mom tried again, fixing Jasmine’s posture. “Sit up straight, baby. Look at you, so pretty when you sit nice!” she said with a smile. But Jasmine wasn’t convinced. She wriggled in place, frowning, clearly unhappy about this “lesson.”
Finally, mom sat beside her and gently explained, “Sweetheart, sitting nicely is good for you. You’ll feel better and look so cute.”
But Jasmine just looked away, sulking. Her tiny hands played with the blanket, and she let out a soft little grunt, showing her feelings without saying a word.
Still, mom didn’t give up. She rubbed Jasmine’s back and whispered, “It’s okay, my love. We’ll try again later.”
After a few minutes, Jasmine slowly sat a little straighter — maybe realizing mom was right, even if she didn’t want to admit it.
Though she seemed unhappy, mom knew her sweet girl was learning and would soon sit properly with her beautiful smile.
