It was a bright morning, and baby monkey Tourtour sat near the old water well, his tiny belly growling with hunger. He wanted his milk right now!
Mommy was busy filling a bucket with fresh water, but Tourtour had no patience. He clenched his little fists, his tail twitched, and his face scrunched up in frustration.
“Eeeek! Eeeek! Waaah!” Tourtour suddenly burst into a loud, dramatic cry. He kicked his tiny legs and pounded the ground with his fists. His hunger tantrum had begun!
Mommy turned around, surprised. “Tourtour, wait a moment! I’m getting your milk soon.”
But Tourtour didn’t want to wait! He threw his tiny body on the ground, rolled around, and screamed even louder. His little face turned red as he kicked and pounded the floor near the water well.
Seeing no reaction, Tourtour changed his strategy. He crawled to Mommy’s feet and clung to her leg tightly, crying even louder. His big teary eyes stared up at her, demanding milk immediately.
Mommy sighed. “Okay, okay, little drama king! Here’s your milk!”
As soon as he saw the bottle, Tourtour snatched it greedily, holding it with both hands. His lips latched onto the nipple, and he started drinking as fast as he could. His tiny tail curled in satisfaction, and his legs relaxed.
Within minutes, his loud cries turned into soft sucking noises. His tantrum was over!
Mommy chuckled. “Next time, no need for the drama, okay?”
But Tourtour just kept drinking, pretending he didn’t hear her. After all, tantrums always worked!
