It was a bright, sunny afternoon, and baby monkeys Garina and Jessy were playing near the small river. The air was warm, and the sound of birds chirping filled the trees. But the peaceful moment didn’t last long—because when Garina and Jessy were together, there was always a little trouble!
Garina, the tiny and playful one, stepped close to the water and dipped her fingers in, feeling the coolness. Jessy, always full of energy, splashed water at Garina, making her jump back in surprise.
“Hey!” Garina squeaked, shaking the water off her fur.
Jessy giggled mischievously and splashed again. “Catch me if you can!” she teased, running along the riverbank.
Garina wasn’t going to let Jessy win. She leaped forward and scooped up water with both hands, throwing it at Jessy. SPLASH! Jessy gasped as the water hit her face, making her fur wet and messy.
“Oh, you’re in trouble now!” Jessy yelled, running into the shallow water and kicking up big splashes toward Garina.
The battle had begun! The two little monkeys splashed each other non-stop, laughing and screeching as they played. But suddenly, Garina slipped on the wet rocks—PLUNK!—she fell right into the water!
Jessy gasped and quickly grabbed Garina’s arm, pulling her up. “Are you okay?”
Garina blinked, her whole body dripping with water. Then, instead of crying, she burst into laughter. “That was fun!”
Jessy joined in laughing, and the two monkeys sat on the riverbank, shaking off the water. Their fight had turned into the best game of the day.
And just like that, their little water battle ended in giggles and sunshine.
