The warm afternoon breeze rustled the trees as baby monkey Tong Tong sat on the wooden bench, nibbling on a tiny banana. His mom sat beside him, watching his every move with a playful smile.
“Tong Tong, why are you eating so seriously?” she teased, tilting her head. “Is that banana your biggest enemy?”
Tong Tong glanced up, his little cheeks puffed with food. He didn’t answer, just gave his mom a side-eye and kept chewing.
“Ohhh, I see! You must be a little prince who only talks after finishing his royal feast!” his mom teased again, poking his tiny belly.
Tong Tong huffed and grabbed another banana, stuffing it into his mouth.
“HEY! Slow down! You’re eating like you haven’t seen food in years!” his mom laughed, widening her eyes dramatically.
Tong Tong finally let out a tiny giggle, shaking his head.
His mom grinned and leaned in. “Tell me, my little king, should I serve you milk next? Or perhaps, would His Highness like a back massage?”
Tong Tong giggled again, waving his tiny hands excitedly.
His mom laughed, pulling him close. “You’re a spoiled little monkey, huh? Always making me talk and entertain you!”
Tong Tong clung to his mom’s arm, smiling happily. He might not talk much, but he loved the way his mom always made him laugh.
