It was a warm, quiet afternoon, but little baby monkey Yuri was anything but calm. Her tiny stomach growled fiercely, and she could no longer hold back her frustration. Sitting on the floor near the kitchen, Yuri let out a heart-wrenching cry.
“Eeeek! Eeeek!” she wailed, her small body shaking with every desperate sob. Her soft brown eyes filled with tears as she looked around, searching for Mom to come and feed her.
Mom was busy preparing a meal nearby, thinking Yuri could wait just a little longer. But for the hungry little monkey, every passing second felt like an eternity. Yuri stomped her feet on the floor, her frustration growing louder.
When Mom finally turned around, she saw the heartbreaking sight of Yuri sitting in a pitiful puddle of tears. Her tiny hands clutched her empty belly as she let out another loud, mournful cry.
“Oh, my poor Yuri! I didn’t know you were this hungry,” Mom said sympathetically as she hurried over.
She gently scooped up the sobbing baby into her arms. “I’m here now, sweetie. Let’s get you some food right away,” Mom whispered reassuringly.
As Mom offered Yuri a warm bottle of milk, the little monkey immediately latched on, drinking eagerly. Her sobs faded into soft, contented sniffling.
Mom held her close, stroking Yuri’s back lovingly. “You don’t need to cry so hard, my baby. Mommy always takes care of you,” she promised.
With a full belly and Mom’s comforting arms wrapped around her, Yuri finally calmed down. Her tear-streaked face softened into peace, reminding Mom once again how precious her little monkey truly was.
