Every day, at the same time, Mickey, a little monkey with a limp, would climb slowly to his favorite spot by the large tree in the jungle. His foot, which had been injured a while ago, still caused him pain, but he was determined to keep moving.

His caretaker, Lina, was always there by his side, ensuring Mickey received the care he needed. She was patient, always gentle and kind, as she carefully prepared the medicine for Mickey’s sore foot.

“Alright, Mickey, it’s time for your foot medicine,” Lina said softly, kneeling down in front of him.

Mickey looked at her with big, trusting eyes, but he didn’t always like the process. “Do we have to, Mama? It hurts,” he whimpered, wincing as he looked at his swollen foot.

Lina nodded, her voice warm and calm. “I know, my dear, but this will help you heal. You’re doing so well, Mickey. Just a little more, and you’ll feel better soon.”

Mickey sighed but didn’t protest further. He trusted Lina and knew she would never hurt him. He stretched out his leg, the foot that needed care, and waited patiently as Lina dipped a soft cloth in the soothing medicine.

She gently pressed the cloth to Mickey’s foot, her hands steady and reassuring. “See? It’s not so bad,” she murmured as she applied the treatment. Mickey remained still, the medicine slowly easing the tension in his injured foot.

Lina smiled warmly. “I’m proud of you, Mickey. You’re being so brave.”

When the medicine was finally applied, Mickey sighed in relief, feeling the cool balm soothe his pain. “Thank you, Mama,” he said, his voice soft. “I think I can walk better now.”

Lina smiled and rubbed his head gently. “You’re welcome, little one. Rest now, and tomorrow we’ll do it all over again. You’re getting stronger every day.”

Mickey snuggled up beside her, feeling safe and cared for. “I’ll be better soon, Mama, I promise.”

And with Lina’s patient care, the days passed, each one bringing Mickey closer to a full recovery.
