Deep in the jungle, little Yuri sat on a big tree stump, his arms crossed, his tiny face scrunched up in a grumpy frown.
Mama Monkey watched him carefully. “Yuri, what’s wrong, my little one?”
Yuri huffed. “I WANTED A BIGGER BANANA!” he shouted, his little tail flicking angrily.
Mama sighed. “Yuri, a banana is a banana. They all taste the same!”
“NO! I WANT THE BIGGEST ONE!” Yuri stomped his tiny feet, puffing out his cheeks.
Mama Monkey took a deep breath. She had been patient all morning, but this time… she was upset!
She suddenly closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then—
“AAAHHHHHHHH!!!”
A loud scream burst from Mama Monkey’s mouth, echoing through the jungle. The birds flew away, the squirrels froze, and even the other monkeys stopped swinging to stare.
Yuri’s eyes went wide. “M-Mama?”
Mama opened her eyes and crossed her arms, copying Yuri’s pout. “See? Not fun when someone screams, is it?”
Yuri blinked. He looked around—everyone was staring at him and Mama. Suddenly, he felt a little silly.
He scratched his head and gave a tiny giggle. “Okay, okay… I’ll eat my banana.”
Mama smiled and ruffled his fur. “That’s my good boy.”
And just like that, little Yuri sat down and ate his banana—without another word!
The jungle finally went back to normal… but the other animals would never forget the day Mama Monkey screamed louder than anyone!
