Tiny baby Momo was the newest member of the monkey family. With his soft fur and tiny hands, he was loved by everyone. But there was one little problem—Momo was always messy!
One morning, Mama Monkey picked him up and gasped. “Oh no, Momo! What happened to you?”
Momo looked up with innocent eyes. His fur was covered in yellow stains! His little belly, his arms, even his tiny ears had splotches of yellow.
Mama sniffed him and sighed. “Bananas… again?”
The older monkeys giggled. They had seen Momo rolling in a pile of squished bananas earlier, happily playing with the mushy fruit.
“It’s time for a bath, little one,” Mama said, carrying him toward the river.
Momo’s eyes widened. “Nooo, Mama! I don’t like water!” He wiggled and squirmed, but Mama held on tight.
At the riverbank, Mama gently placed Momo in the shallow water. The cool water touched his fur, and he shivered. “Mamaaa!” he whined.
Mama chuckled. “Don’t be a fussy monkey! Let’s wash away those banana stains.” She scooped water into her hands and gently scrubbed his fur.
Momo pouted at first, but soon, he realized… it wasn’t so bad. The water felt nice, and the little bubbles Mama made were fun to pop.
After a few minutes, the yellow stains were gone, and Momo’s fur was soft and fluffy again. Mama wrapped him in a warm leaf and kissed his head.
“There! My clean little monkey,” she said.
Momo giggled. “Okay, Mama! But… can I have another banana now?”
Mama sighed and laughed. “Only if you promise not to roll in it this time!”
