Molly’s Unwanted Eye Drop Moment

It was a quiet afternoon, and little monkey Molly sat comfortably in her mom’s lap, playing with her tiny fingers. The playful atmosphere quickly shifted when Dad’s brother walked into the room, holding a small bottle of eye drops in his hand. Molly’s sharp eyes instantly caught sight of it, and her curious look turned into worry.

Mom gently patted Molly’s head. “It’s just a quick moment, sweetie,” she reassured her. But Molly wasn’t convinced. Her instincts told her something unpleasant was coming.

As Dad’s brother approached, Molly began to wriggle in protest. Her tiny hands gripped Mom’s shirt tightly, and she let out a soft moan, her face already puckering up for tears. “Hold her still,” Dad’s brother said gently, his voice calm but firm.

Mom cradled Molly securely, whispering soothing words. But when the first drop touched Molly’s eye, her reaction was instant. A sharp, stinging sensation made her cry out loudly, tears streaming from her big, round eyes. She tried to squirm away, her tiny body twisting and turning, but Mom held her close.

“It’s okay, Molly. Just one more,” Mom said, her voice filled with love.

The second drop came, and Molly whimpered again, her cries heartbreaking to hear. She buried her face in Mom’s chest, clutching her tightly as if begging for the discomfort to end.

Dad’s brother quickly stepped back, placing the bottle aside. “All done,” he said with a relieved smile.

Molly peeked out from Mom’s arms, her eyes red and watery. The pain was fading, but her little heart still ached from the ordeal. Mom kissed her gently, rocking her back and forth. “You’re so brave, my sweet Molly,” she whispered.

Molly’s sobs softened, and soon she was cuddled safely in her mom’s arms, ready to forget the whole experience.
