Baby monkey Luna sat on the ground with her tiny arms crossed, her big round eyes filled with disappointment as she stared at the empty spot where her simple bed used to be. Her lower lip quivered slightly, and her tail twitched in frustration. Luna was sulking, and she made sure everyone around her knew it.

Earlier that day, I had decided to clean and replace Luna’s old bedding. The bed, a soft pile of warm blankets nestled in a wooden basket, had been her favorite spot since she was just a newborn. She’d spent countless hours snuggled up in it, feeling safe and cozy. Moving it, even for just a short while, had thrown Luna into an adorable little tantrum.

She refused to look at me when I called her name. Instead, she turned her head dramatically, her nose in the air, making a soft huffing sound. “Luna, it’s just for a moment,” I said gently, crouching down to her level. “I’m making it better for you.”

But Luna wasn’t convinced. She walked a few steps away, plopped herself down on the floor, and let out a series of soft whimpers, as if to say, “How could you do this to me?”

I brought over a fresh blanket from the laundry pile, one that smelled clean and comforting, and spread it out on the floor. “See? It’s still yours, little one,” I said, patting the blanket. Luna glanced over her shoulder, her curiosity getting the best of her.

Slowly, she inched her way toward the blanket, testing it with one tiny hand before finally sitting on it. Her sulking expression softened, and she let out a quiet little chirp, her way of forgiving me.

It wasn’t long before she was curled up, her tail wrapped around her, drifting off to sleep. Luna might be sulky, but her love for comfort always won in the end. 🐒❤️
