Moly’s Bathtime Drama

It was a sunny afternoon, and Moly’s mom decided it was the perfect time for a bath. She filled a small tub with warm water and called out, “Moly! Time to get clean!”

But Moly had other ideas. He spotted the chair in the corner and dashed toward it, wrapping his tiny arms around the legs as if it were his best friend. “Nooo!” he cried, clutching the chair tightly.

“Moly, don’t be so dramatic,” Mom said with a chuckle, walking over to him. “Bathing will make you feel fresh and happy.”

Moly shook his head vigorously, his little face scrunched up in defiance. “No bath! I stay here!” he wailed, hugging the chair even tighter.

Mom tried to gently pry him away, but Moly’s grip was surprisingly strong for someone so small. “Moly, it’s just water. You’ll be done in no time!” she reassured him.

But Moly wasn’t convinced. “Chair is safe. Chair doesn’t have water!” he whimpered, making Mom laugh.

Finally, Mom knelt beside him and whispered, “What if I add bubbles and bring your favorite duck toy?”

Moly stopped crying and looked up with curious eyes. “Duck?”

“Yes, your favorite yellow duck,” Mom said, holding out her hand.

After a long pause, Moly let go of the chair and took her hand hesitantly. “Okay… but only with duck!”

Mom smiled triumphantly as they walked toward the tub. She added bubbles and placed the duck in the water. Moly splashed around happily, his earlier tears forgotten.

“See? Bath time isn’t so bad!” Mom said, laughing as Moly played with his duck.

From then on, Moly never skipped a bath—so long as his yellow duck was there to join him.
