The tiny newborn baby monkey had only been in his new home for a few days.
Everything around him was still unfamiliar.
The soft blankets, the gentle voices, and the cozy nursery were all new to his little heart.
That morning, Mom carefully placed him on a thick, fluffy play mat while she folded clean blankets nearby.
“I’ll be right here, sweetheart,” she said with a loving smile.
For a moment, the newborn looked around with wide, curious eyes.
He stretched his tiny fingers and softly kicked his little feet.
But then he looked up again.
Mom wasn’t holding him anymore.
His tiny face slowly changed.
His lips began to quiver.
His bright eyes filled with tears.
“Eee… eee…”
The quiet whimpers quickly became loud cries.
“WAAAAAH! WAAAAAH!”
The little newborn waved both tiny arms, searching for the warm embrace he loved so much.
He didn’t want toys.
He didn’t want his blanket.
He simply wanted to feel safe in Mom’s arms.
Dad heard the cries and quietly peeked into the room.
“Oh, little one,” he whispered. “You’re missing Mommy already.”
The newborn continued crying, his tiny body trembling with emotion.
Mom immediately hurried over.
“My precious baby, I’m here.”
She gently scooped him up from the floor and held him close against her warm chest.
The change was almost instant.
The newborn rested his tiny cheek against Mom’s shoulder.
His loud cries became soft little sniffles.
Mom slowly rocked him back and forth while gently stroking his soft fur.
“You are safe,” she whispered.
“You’ll never be alone.”
The baby wrapped his tiny fingers around Mom’s shirt as tightly as he could.
He didn’t want to let go.
Dad smiled warmly.
“I think all he needed was a cuddle.”
Mom nodded.
“Sometimes babies don’t need words.”
“They just need to feel someone’s love.”
A few moments later, Chichi quietly walked into the room carrying the baby’s favorite little stuffed toy.
She gently placed it beside him and softly patted his tiny foot.
The newborn looked at Chichi through sleepy eyes.
His crying had completely stopped.
Instead, he gave a tiny squeak that sounded almost like a happy thank-you.
Mom smiled.
“See? Your whole family is here.”
She continued rocking him while humming a gentle lullaby.
The familiar rhythm of her heartbeat soothed the little monkey even more.
His breathing became slow and peaceful.
Soon, his eyelids began to close.
Before falling asleep, he gave Mom one last tiny cuddle, nestling even closer into her loving arms.
Dad carefully covered them with a soft blanket.
Looking at the peaceful newborn, he quietly said, “The safest place in the world for a baby is where love is waiting.”
Mom kissed the baby’s forehead and smiled.
“No matter how frightened or lonely you feel, my little one, my arms will always be your home.”
With his tiny heart calm once again, the newborn drifted into a peaceful sleep, surrounded by warmth, gentle care, and the comforting embrace of a family that loved him from the very first day.
