Little Kasky lay in his tiny hammock, gently swinging back and forth in the warm afternoon air.
It should have been the perfect time for a peaceful nap.
The soft cloth held him comfortably, the breeze was calm, and his sleepy eyes were already half closed.
But something kept bothering him.
An itchy rash.
He shifted again, making a small unhappy sound. His tiny hand reached down, scratching at the uncomfortable spot near his private area. The itch was annoying, sharp, and impossible to ignore.
He wanted to sleep.
But the itching wouldn’t let him.
His face scrunched into a sad little pout as he scratched again, restless and frustrated. Every time he tried to settle, the irritation came back.
No peace.
No sleep.
Just itch.
He rolled slightly in the hammock, still trying to find comfort, but the soft swinging only helped a little. His eyes looked tired, but his body stayed unsettled.
From nearby, Mom noticed immediately.
“Oh, poor Kasky…” she whispered, walking over gently.
She carefully checked him and saw the irritated skin, red and uncomfortable. No wonder he couldn’t rest.
She stroked his little head softly, calming him first.
Then she gently cleaned the area with warm water and soft care, making sure not to hurt him more. Kasky gave a small whimper but stayed still, trusting her.
“It’s okay… Mama’s helping,” she said quietly.
Afterward, she applied soothing care and wrapped him back into comfort, letting him rest again in his tiny hammock.
This time, the scratching slowed.
His body relaxed.
His breathing softened.
Finally, little Kasky could close his eyes.
Because sometimes, the smallest discomfort can feel like the biggest problem—
And all a tiny heart needs is gentle care to find peace again.
