Little Minea was very hungry and excited when she saw Mom holding her food. Her tiny eyes focused on it right away, and she stretched her little hands forward to grab it.
But Mom had a different idea.
Instead of giving the food directly, Mom held it a little higher above Minea’s head. She wanted Minea to practice standing up and reaching for it.
Minea didn’t like that at all.
At first, she tried to reach with her hands while still sitting. But the food was just a bit too high. Her fingers couldn’t reach it.
Her face quickly turned grumpy.
Then suddenly—
“EEEEEE!”
Minea screamed loudly in anger.
The little monkey waved her arms and stomped her tiny feet, clearly frustrated that Mom wouldn’t give her the food right away. She cried sharply and glared up at the snack she wanted so badly.
Mom gently encouraged her.
“Stand up, Minea,” she said patiently.
Minea tried for a moment. Her tiny legs pushed against the floor as she attempted to lift her body. But when it felt difficult, she screamed again in frustration.
“Eeeee!”
The angry baby monkey didn’t want to struggle—she just wanted the food immediately.
Still, Mom stayed calm and kept encouraging her.
After several tries, Minea finally pushed herself up for a brief moment. Her little legs straightened and she stood just enough to reach higher.
Mom quickly praised her and gave her the food.
The moment Minea grabbed it, her anger disappeared. She happily began eating, forgetting the tantrum completely.
Sometimes learning new skills can make little Minea very angry—but those small lessons help her grow stronger every day.
