Early in the morning, the house was still quiet. Soft sunlight slowly entered through the window, lighting the small room where two baby monkeys, Yuri and Minea, were waking up.
At first, everything seemed calm.
But then Yuri opened her eyes and began to move her tiny hands. Her little tummy was already feeling empty. She looked around, searching for Mom.
Minea woke up right after her sister.
The moment Minea realized Mom wasn’t beside them with the milk bottle, her face changed quickly. Her mouth opened wide and a loud cry burst out.
“Eeeee! Eeee!”
Yuri quickly joined in. The two baby monkeys began screaming loudly together, their small voices filling the room. Their tiny hands reached forward eagerly as if trying to grab the milk they were waiting for.
Both of them were extremely hungry.
Yuri stood up on her little feet and leaned against the edge of the table, looking toward the door. Minea bounced impatiently beside her, making louder cries every second.
Their excitement and hunger were growing.
“Eeeee! Eeeee!” Minea screamed even louder, shaking her little arms in the air. Yuri also cried sharply, her round eyes wide with anticipation.
Finally, Mom heard the noisy cries from the other room.
She quickly came back holding two small milk bottles. The moment Yuri and Minea saw the bottles, their cries suddenly changed into excited squeaks.
Mom gently picked them up one by one.
Yuri quickly grabbed her bottle and began drinking eagerly. Minea did the same, holding the bottle tightly with both tiny hands.
The loud screaming disappeared almost instantly.
Now the room was peaceful again, filled only with the quiet sound of two very hungry baby monkeys happily drinking their milk.
