Evening slowly arrived, and the sky outside was turning soft and golden. It was the time when little baby monkeys Jr. and JB usually began to feel sleepy after a long day of playing.
But before bedtime, Mom had one important routine.
Bath time.
Jr. and JB sat together beside a small basin of warm water. At first, they looked curious. The gentle steam from the water made the air feel warm and cozy.
Mom carefully lifted Jr. first.
The moment his tiny feet touched the warm water, he made a surprised little sound. “Eee!” he squeaked, staring down at the water moving around his legs. JB watched closely from the side, tilting his head with interest.
Soon, Jr. relaxed.
Mom gently poured water over his little back and rubbed his soft fur with care. Jr. began splashing lightly with his hands, making tiny ripples in the water.
JB couldn’t wait any longer.
He leaned closer and tried to touch the water too. Mom smiled and carefully placed JB into the basin beside his brother. Now the two tiny monkeys were sitting together in the warm bath.
Splash! Splash!
Jr. and JB began playing happily. Their little hands moved quickly in the water, sending tiny droplets everywhere. Their earlier sleepiness disappeared for a moment as they enjoyed the fun bath.
Mom gently washed their heads, backs, and tiny arms to make sure they were nice and clean.
After the bath, she wrapped both babies in a soft warm towel.
Jr. and JB looked cozy and calm now. Their fur was fluffy, and their eyes were starting to close with sleepiness.
Mom carried them to their soft bed.
Curled up together after their warm bath, the two little monkeys quickly drifted into peaceful sleep, ready for another playful day tomorrow.
