It was a sunny afternoon, and the house was bustling with energy as the baby monkeys played in the living room. Oly, a feisty little one with a mischievous streak, had been chasing his friends around, giggling and showing off. Abigail, the gentle and calm baby monkey, was sitting quietly, playing with her tiny toy beads.

“Oly, let’s play nicely,” Mom called from the kitchen, keeping an eye on the group.

But Oly, in his excitement, ignored the warning. He darted over to Abigail, grabbing at her toy. “Give it to me!” he demanded, his voice rising. Abigail shook her head, clutching her beads tightly.

Frustrated, Oly smacked Abigail on the arm. “It’s mine now!” he said defiantly, snatching the beads away. Abigail gasped, her big eyes filling with tears. She let out a loud cry, clutching her arm where Oly had hit her.

Hearing the commotion, Mom rushed in. “Oly! What happened here?” she asked sternly, noticing Abigail’s tears and the beads in Oly’s hands.

Oly froze, realizing he was in trouble. “I… I just wanted to play,” he stammered, avoiding Mom’s sharp gaze.

“That’s no excuse for hurting your friend,” Mom said firmly, taking the beads from Oly and handing them back to Abigail. “You need to apologize, Oly. Now.”

Oly hesitated, then mumbled, “I’m sorry, Abigail.”

“That’s not enough,” Mom said. “Because you hit Abigail, you’re fined—no extra fruit snacks for you today.”

Oly’s face fell as he realized the consequence of his actions. Meanwhile, Mom comforted Abigail, hugging her tightly.

“Remember, Oly,” Mom said, her tone softer now, “we take care of our friends, not hurt them.” Oly nodded, feeling ashamed but determined to do better next time.
