Baby monkey Bon Bon had always been emotional, especially when it came to food. Milk time was his favorite moment every day, and he was used to getting his bottle quickly whenever he called. But today, things didn’t go the way he expected.
It was late afternoon, and Bon Bon was sitting on the floor inside the house. Daddy was preparing his milk in the kitchen, but Bon Bon didn’t understand that. All he knew was that he was hungry—and nobody was putting the bottle in his mouth yet.
At first he tried gentle calling. He sat up, looked toward the kitchen where Dad was mixing formula, and let out a soft cry as if to say, “Daddy, I’m waiting… hurry!”
But Daddy was still busy, and the minutes passed.
Suddenly Bon Bon’s calm disappeared. His tiny hands clenched into fists, his face wrinkled with fury, and he let out a loud scream. He leaned back, kicked his feet, and cried with everything inside him. The hunger had turned into full frustration.
He crawled closer to the doorway, hoping his dramatic display would get Daddy’s attention. When he still didn’t see the bottle arriving, Bon Bon completely lost control. Tears rolled down his cheeks, he stomped his hand on the floor, and he cried louder than before.
In his little heart, he wasn’t just hungry—he felt ignored. He felt alone. He felt like Daddy forgot him in the most important moment.
From the kitchen, Daddy finally heard the intensity of his baby’s screams and rushed out with the warm bottle in hand. When Bon Bon saw him, his eyes widened in instant relief—but he still sobbed, complaining loudly as if explaining all the pain he had endured for those few minutes.
Daddy sat down beside him, lifted him gently, and placed the bottle in his mouth. Bon Bon grabbed it like treasure, drinking so fast his cheeks puffed out and his cries faded into small whimpers.
As the warm milk filled his tiny stomach, Bon Bon slowly relaxed. His body softened, his little fingers unclenched, and his eyes closed halfway with deep satisfaction.
Daddy stroked his head and whispered, “There, baby… Daddy didn’t forget you.”
Bon Bon finished the bottle, cuddled against Daddy’s chest, and finally drifted into peaceful quiet—his little tantrum now forgiven and forgotten.
