He may be tiny, but this baby monkey ruled with emotions.
Everyone at the rescue center jokingly called him the “King of Mood” — and today, he was living up to that title in full.
Curled up in his soft blanket, the super BB monkey had been resting peacefully, until he noticed something:
Mom wasn’t there.
No sound of her voice.
No shadow nearby.
Just silence.
Slowly, his little head lifted—his eyes scanning the empty corner where she usually sat. The blanket slipped off his back. His lips puckered. His brow furrowed. And then…
The wailing began.
It wasn’t just a whimper.
It was a high-pitched, full-body, angry cry.
The kind that demanded attention.
He flailed his arms.
He kicked.
He rolled dramatically to one side and let out another loud squeal.
He wasn’t sad.
He was furious.
“How could Mom leave me here alone?”
That’s what his big teary eyes seemed to say.
One of the caretakers tried to calm him, but he twisted away, looking around—refusing anyone who wasn’t Mom.
Then, just when the cries peaked, a soft voice came from behind:
“I’m here, baby.”
Mom walked in, wiping her hands from a quick break. She rushed to him, and without hesitation, he crawled into her arms, still sniffling, but already calming.
His head rested against her chest.
The mighty king was soothed.
The kingdom was at peace again.
Because even kings—especially tiny ones—need their mothers most.
