Alan’s Tantrum: Feeling Ignored

Comments Off on Alan’s Tantrum: Feeling Ignored

Baby Alan was usually a cheerful little monkey, but today was different. He sat in the middle of the play area, his tiny arms folded, face scrunched up, and eyes watery. His loud, echoing cries filled the room as he threw himself onto the floor in a full-blown tantrum.

Mom and Dad were nearby, but they were busy—cleaning the nest area, preparing food, and grooming each other. They didn’t notice that little Alan was growing more frustrated by the minute. He had tried calling softly at first, hoping someone would pick him up or bring him milk. But when no one came, the sadness turned into anger.

Alan flopped on his back, kicking his legs and wailing louder. His tiny fists hit the floor in frustration. “Why won’t they look at me?” he seemed to cry with every scream. His soft fur got covered in dust, but he didn’t care—he just wanted to be seen, to be comforted.

Finally, his cries caught Dad’s attention. Dad paused, looked over, and quickly hopped to Alan’s side. With gentle arms, he scooped up his crying boy and cradled him close. Alan still whimpered, but now in relief. He buried his face in Dad’s chest, clinging tightly.

Mom joined them moments later, grooming Alan’s head and whispering soft reassurance. Alan’s tantrum slowly faded, replaced by tiny sniffles and sleepy eyes. All he had wanted was to feel their love.

Sometimes, even the tiniest monkey needs a reminder that he matters. And in that quiet moment, snuggled safely between Mom and Dad, Alan knew he was never truly alone—even when the world got too noisy or busy. He was still their baby, and always would be.
