Chubby Berica Too Shy to Ask Mama Berry for Milk

In the middle of the sunny afternoon, chubby little Berica sat on a soft patch of grass, arms folded and cheeks puffed out like a grumpy balloon.

She was hungry—very hungry—but there was one big problem…

She didn’t want to ask Mama Berry for milk.

Mama Berry, her adoptive mother, had been feeding all the other baby monkeys one by one. They were loud, pushy, and always climbing over each other to get their share. But Berica? She was a shy little puffball with big round eyes and a serious face.

She waddled close a few times, hesitated… then turned back.

“Go on, Berica!” one of the caretakers whispered with a laugh. “Just ask her!”

But Berica shook her head, puffed her cheeks again, and sat down with a dramatic plop.

Finally, she decided to try a sneaky move. She scooted closer—inch by inch like a tiny ninja—and sat right next to Mama Berry, hoping maybe the milk would just appear.

Nope.

The other babies came rushing in, and Mama Berry got busy again.

Berica pouted, slumped forward, and rolled onto her back with a dramatic sigh like, “Life is so unfair.”

The caretakers couldn’t help but laugh. “She’s acting like a grumpy little dumpling!”

Eventually, Mama Berry noticed the silent protest and picked up the chubby girl gently. As soon as the bottle touched her lips, Berica forgot her pride and slurrrp—she drank like a milk monster.

Her belly wobbled with every gulp.

Turns out, even the shyest monkey can’t resist when it’s snack time. 🍌🐒🍼
