Little Tourtour had a heartbreaking moment today. It all started when he woke up from his nap and realized Mom was nowhere in sight. His tiny heart raced, and his big, round eyes scanned the room in panic.
Without wasting a second, Tourtour stumbled to his little feet and rushed around the house, calling softly for Mom. But when he didn’t see her, his courage crumbled. Feeling lost and overwhelmed, he scurried to the corner near the door and tucked himself behind it, hoping Mom would magically appear if he stayed hidden and quiet.
Pressed against the door, Tourtour’s tiny body shook with soft, heartbreaking cries. He kept peeking out with hopeful eyes, but every time he didn’t see Mom, he whimpered even more. His little hands clutched the wall as he leaned his head down, trying to stay strong but unable to hold back the sadness.
The house, usually filled with laughter and playful noises, suddenly felt too big and too lonely for such a small baby. Every creak and sound made Tourtour flinch, his ears twitching as he wished with all his heart to hear Mom’s familiar footsteps.
Finally, after what felt like forever, Mom came rushing back in, carrying a small basket of treats she had gone to get. As soon as Tourtour saw her, he burst out from behind the door, crying even louder — but this time it was a cry of pure relief.
Mom scooped him up into her arms, showering him with kisses and soothing words. Tourtour clung tightly to her, refusing to let go, his little body melting into her chest.
