It was another afternoon filled with Yuri’s tantrums. The little baby monkey sat on the wooden floor, her tiny arms crossed, lips pouted, and eyes filled with frustration. She had been moaning and throwing small fits since morning, and no one knew why.
Her mom, gentle but firm, finally had enough. She knelt beside her, stroking Yuri’s soft fur. “Yuri, why are you always angry?” she asked patiently.
Yuri sniffled but didn’t say a word. She just turned her head away, refusing to answer.
Mom sighed. “Did someone take your toy?” she guessed.
Yuri shook her head.
“Are you hungry?”
Another headshake.
“Do you want me to carry you?”
Yuri hesitated for a second but still refused to answer. She was too stubborn to admit anything.
Mom tilted her head, thinking. “Maybe you just want attention?” she teased.
At this, Yuri’s tail twitched, and she huffed loudly. “Hmph!”
Mom smiled softly. “Oh, my little grumpy girl. You know, being angry all the time makes you tired.”
Yuri stayed quiet, but deep down, she knew Mom was right. She didn’t even know why she felt upset—she just did.
Mom reached out her arms. “Come here, my little grumpy baby.”
Yuri hesitated for a moment, then gave in. She crawled into Mom’s lap and buried her face in her chest, letting out a small sigh.
Mom kissed her head gently. “You don’t always need a reason to feel bad, Yuri. But remember, Mommy is always here for you.”
Yuri finally relaxed, her anger melting away. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t as mad anymore.
