It was a quiet afternoon inside the house. Little Jasmine sat on a wooden table near the wall corner, playing with a tiny piece of cloth she had found. She twisted it in her fingers, lost in her own little world.

Nearby, her mother watched with playful eyes, a mischievous smile forming on her lips. Suddenly, Mom let out a deep growl.

“Raaawr! The monster is coming!” she teased, wiggling her fingers like claws.

Jasmine’s eyes widened in shock. She froze for a second, her tiny mouth dropping open. Then, with a sharp squeal, she covered her face with both hands and curled up against the wall, pressing her back tightly to the corner.

Mom chuckled and crawled closer, tapping the table. “Oh no! Where is my baby? Did the monster eat her?”

Jasmine peeked through her fingers, letting out a tiny giggle before quickly hiding again. Her small body trembled—not from fear, but from excitement.

Mom pretended to look around. “Hmm… I guess my little baby is gone! Maybe I’ll have to find another baby to cuddle.”

Jasmine couldn’t stay hidden any longer. She peeked out again, her round eyes shining with joy. Then, she quickly crawled up onto Mom’s lap, wrapping her tiny arms around her.

“There you are!” Mom cheered, hugging her tight. Jasmine laughed, burying her face into Mom’s chest, feeling warm and safe.

As the soft afternoon light filled the house, Jasmine let out a happy sigh. She may have hidden from the “monster,” but she knew her mommy would always find her in the end.

And so, their sweet game continued, filling the house with laughter and love
