The morning in the jungle was calm, but little Chichi was full of energy and mischief. The playful young monkey had always been known for her stubborn and bold nature. Today, she spotted her tiny friend, Linda, sitting quietly under a tree, playing with a fallen leaf. A sneaky grin spread across Chichi’s face—she had an idea.
Without warning, Chichi ran up to Linda and climbed onto her tiny back, wrapping her arms around Linda’s shoulders as if riding a horse. Linda, who was much smaller, squeaked in surprise, struggling under Chichi’s weight. She tried to wiggle free, but Chichi held on tightly, giggling in amusement.
“Chichi, get off!” Linda whimpered, her little legs wobbling as she tried to move forward. But stubborn Chichi refused to let go. She rocked back and forth, pretending to ride Linda like a brave explorer on an adventure.
Linda, growing frustrated, let out a tiny cry and tried to shake Chichi off, but the older monkey only tightened her grip. Poor Linda stumbled forward, her tiny hands pressing against the ground for support. Nearby, the mother monkeys noticed the commotion.
Hearing Linda’s distress, Chichi’s mom quickly rushed over. “Chichi! Get down this instant!” she scolded, pulling her naughty daughter off poor Linda.
Chichi pouted, crossing her arms, but she knew better than to disobey. Linda, finally free, sat on the ground catching her breath.
Linda’s mom scooped her up, comforting her with gentle strokes. “You’re okay now,” she whispered.
Chichi, now feeling guilty, peeked at Linda and muttered, “Sorry…” in a soft voice.
Linda sniffled but nodded. Maybe next time, Chichi would play a little nicer.
