Linda’s Desperate Search for Mom

The tiny baby monkey, Linda, scurried around in a panic, her big, teary eyes darting in every direction. She had been playing happily a moment ago, but now she realized—her mom was nowhere in sight. Her little heart pounded as she let out a desperate cry, a soft whimper at first, then louder and more frantic.

She rushed to a nearby tree, climbing a few steps before stopping, scanning the area with her tiny hands gripping the bark. “Mom?” her little voice seemed to ask. But there was no response. Her small body trembled, and she let out another sorrowful cry, circling around and around in search of the one who always made her feel safe.

Linda ran toward a bush, hoping to see her mother’s familiar figure, but instead, she found only rustling leaves. Her breath hitched as she turned back, her tiny feet barely able to keep up with her growing panic. She tried again, running in another direction, calling out helplessly.

Finally, just as tears streamed down her little face, a soft, familiar touch brushed against her. Warm, strong arms scooped her up, and the moment she felt her mother’s embrace, Linda melted into it, sobbing quietly.

Her mother gently stroked her fur, pressing her close to her chest. “I’m here,” the warmth of her hug seemed to say. Linda sniffled, hiccupping as she clung tightly, her tiny fingers grasping her mother’s fur. She wasn’t alone anymore. She was safe.

The jungle around them was still the same, but in Linda’s heart, the storm had passed. She nestled into her mother’s arms, her tears drying as peace and comfort replaced her fear.
