Little Pavpav was having a very emotional afternoon.

The tiny baby monkey had been sitting comfortably in his cozy resting area when he suddenly noticed something very interesting. Mom was preparing a small plate of fresh, soft fruit nearby.

Pavpav’s eyes became wide.

He immediately knew what was coming.

“Eeee! Eeee! Eeee!”

Mom looked over and smiled. “Oh, Pavpav, did you see the fruit?”

Pavpav certainly had.

He stretched both tiny hands toward the plate and began crying even louder. His little body wiggled with excitement as he watched Mom carefully prepare his food.

“Eeeee!”

“You’re hungry already?” Mom asked.

Pavpav answered with another loud cry.

He couldn’t wait.

Every time Mom picked up a piece of fruit, Pavpav watched it carefully. His eyes followed her hand from the plate to his little feeding area. He seemed convinced that Mom was taking far too long.

“Just a moment, sweetheart,” Mom said gently. “I’m making sure it’s prepared safely for you.”

But Pavpav didn’t want to wait.

He made another dramatic complaint.

“Eeee! Eeee! Eeee!”

Mom laughed softly. “I know, little one. You really want your fruit.”

Pavpav reached toward her again.

His tiny fingers opened and closed while he continued crying. His expression looked so pitiful that Mom couldn’t help feeling sorry for him.

Finally, everything was ready.

Mom offered him a small, appropriate piece of soft fruit prepared according to his age and dietary needs.

Pavpav immediately became quiet.

For a few seconds, he simply stared at it.

Then he took a bite.

His whole expression changed.

The angry little face disappeared, replaced by obvious excitement. He carefully chewed and then reached toward Mom for another small piece.

Mom smiled.

“Oh! So that’s what all those screams were about?”

Pavpav continued eating happily.

The tiny monkey seemed to have completely forgotten that he had been crying only moments earlier. Every bite made him more peaceful, and soon his loud cries had become quiet little sounds of contentment.

Mom continued offering small portions patiently, making sure Pavpav didn’t rush or overeat.

“You have to take your time,” she reminded him. “Yummy food is even better when you eat slowly.”

Pavpav looked at her briefly before returning his attention to the fruit.

Mom chuckled.

After finishing his appropriate serving, Pavpav looked at the empty plate.

Then he looked at Mom.

Then he looked back at the plate.

Mom already knew what he was thinking.

“No, little Pavpav. That’s enough for now.”

Pavpav’s eyes widened.

For a moment, Mom expected another huge tantrum.

Instead, Pavpav simply sighed and leaned against her.

Mom gently stroked his little head.

“You were very hungry, weren’t you?”

Pavpav made a soft, happy sound.

His earlier cries had filled the room, but now everything was peaceful again.

Mom smiled as she watched him settle down.

Sometimes Pavpav’s emotions were much bigger than his tiny body. When he wanted something, he wanted it immediately—and he certainly knew how to make sure Mom heard him.

But after his yummy fruit and a little patience, the dramatic little baby was happy again.

Mom whispered, “Next time, you don’t have to scream quite so loudly. Mommy will make sure you get your food.”

Pavpav closed his eyes and rested comfortably.

His tummy was satisfied, his heart was calm, and his little fruit adventure had ended with a peaceful, happy baby.
